The Licence includes one undeveloped field, the Akepo field, and two prospects A and B, referred to as Akepo North. The Akepo Field is adjacent to the Ogedeh Field. The Field is located 12 km from the production infrastructure linked directly to the oil export terminal at Forcados.
The Akepo field was discovered by Chevron\'s Akepo 1 well in 1993 and logged 107 ft of oil pay over 50 ft of net gas pay in a number of stacked sands. The discovery well was sidetracked as Akepo-1st, flow-tested at 1,789 bpd with good flowing wellhead pressures. An engineering review of the test data suggested the well could produce at stable rates between 2,500 and 3,000 bpd. The Akepo 1st well was successfully re-entered and completed in December, 2009.
