The Dana-1 gas field covers an area of 74.8 square kilometres and holds total proven plus probable reserves of 127.9 Bcf of gas and 1.8 million barrels of condensate.
Brightoil has signed a 30 year production sharing contract with state-run China National Petroleum Corporation which holds the development and production rights for the Dina-1 field.
The deal still requires shareholder and regulatory approval.
