The project will see the construction of a coal-to-liquids (project), which will produce 3.6 million tonnes of oil and oil products per year. The plant will generate diesel, naphtha and LPG, along with by-products such as tar, phenol, sulphur and ammonia. There are coal reserves of 1,500 million tonnes which have been identified for the project. The project will also comprise of a 1,600MWe power plant.
