Project Profile

Value: US$30 million
Start-up Year: 2011
Location: Littoral Province
Average Production: 413,500 cubic metres per day (1H 2017)
Proven Reserves: 49 Bcf (1.39 Bcm)
Prospective reserves: 1 Tcf (28.33 Bcm)

The project will include two production wells, gas facilities and a 15 km pipeline to supply local breweries, food, textile and chemical plants. An initial project may forgo liquids recovery, but will most likely be scaled up later to meet demand, which, in addition to industrial offtakers, may include a 50 MW power station at a future stage. The field was discovered by Elf in 1954. Elf encountered two over pressured sandstone reservoirs in the upper cretaceous. The well blew out and flowed out of control for over a month before being stabilised. The proven reserves are estimated at 49 Bcf (1.39 Bcm) and proved and probable (2P) reserves at 212 Bcf (6.01 Bcm). Prospective reserves are evaluated to be more than 1 Tcf (28.33 Bcm).

The Savannah Oil Services Cameroon Train Rig has arrived by ship to Douala port and the 2,756 tonnes of bulk load. The new rail-mounted drilling platform for both a twin and step-out well will be located at the existing Logbaba plant and well site, approx. 13km from the port. (June, 2016)
