Construction of an 1,114 km pipeline connecting Kochi-Kanjirkkod-Bangalore-Mangalore, with a design capacity of 16 million cubic metres per day. The pipeline will be constructed under two phases.
Phase I will see the construction of a 96 km pipeline network. This will involve laying a 27 km long and 24 inch wide trunk line from Kochi to the tap-off point at Alwaye, along with nine spurlines, for distances ranging from 1 km to 20 km.
Phase II will the laying of a 1,018 km pipeline network. This is to comprise of two trunk lines which will be laid from Kanjirkkod to Mangalore as well as Palghat, which will be further extended to Bangalore by laying a separate trunk line. In addition, a total of 15 spurlines will be laid in the second phase, with a length between 2 km to 40 km.
The source will be regasified LNG from Kochi’s Petronet LNG terminal.
