The project envisages laying of Surat- Paradip natural gas pipeline in length of 1,724 km and will cover a stretch of 460 km in Orissa, passing through nine districts of the state including the districts of Bolangir, Sonepur and Nuapada. The Mora (Surat) - Paradip Gas Pipeline, to transport up to 60 million standard cubic metres per day of gas. The pipeline will originate from Mora in Surat which is a major node/terminal of GSPL gas grid pipeline network and end at the Indian Oil Corp's under-construction 15 million tonnes refinery at Paradip. The 1,500 km pipeline will traverse with the main line and 124 km spur lines covering the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Orissa.
