The complex is the former Enron Dabhol. Petronet LNG Ltd would supply 1.2 million tonnes per annum of gas for two years to the Ratnagiri Gas & Power (RGPPL) at around US$5.94 to US$6 per million british thermal unit (MMBTU). Also involves a 2,150MWe power plant and 5 mtpa LNG receiving plant and three 480,000 cbm storage tanks.
A 576 km, 30 inch diameter pipeline to carry regasified LNG to the Dabhol power project in the western part of the country. The entire pipeline will traverse a distance of 576 km between Dahej, where the LNG terminal is located, and Dabhol, where the power project is located. The pipeline has a capacity of 12 MMcm/d of gas.
