The project will see the construction of an LNG terminal in Pomalaa, east Sulawesi to support the power sector. A contract was reported with Samudera Indonesia to facilitate supply of LNG from 2016. However, Progress on construction is unclear due to Indonesia being undecided about its precise LNG import/export position and as a consequence any new LNG import capacity development has slowed down.
