The project will see the construction of a 1,247km crude oil pipeline linking Lanzhou, Gansu province, and Chengdu, which is the site of a proposed 10 million tonne per year refinery and 800,000 tonne petrochemical plant in Sichuan province. It is the first large-scale crude oil pipeline project in southwest China.
