Project Profile
Value: US$2 billion
Location: Grand Anguille Marine concession
Water depth: 30m
Reserves: 150 million barrels of oil
Average production: 20,000 barrels of oil (2015)
Start-up year: 2013 (Anguille Marine Nord - AGMN platform)
The Anguille field is found 20 kilometres offshore Port-Gentil in the Grand Anguille Marine concession.
The project is to be carried out in three phases.
Phase 1: There were 13 wells drilled in phase one of the redevelopment scheme indicated that the original production estimates of 30,000 barrels of oil were to high. Work included laying a new infield pipeline and stimulating existing wells.
Phase 2: This involves the decommissioning of obsolete process units, construction of an onshore plant and the drilling of about 30 extra wells. The new onshore plant is due to incorporate power generation, fluid treatment and gas compression equipment in order to eliminate flaring and stop coastal discharges of production water. The drilling in phase 2 will give the operator a clearer idea of the fields plateau production rate.
Phase 3: This phase covers the construction of one wellhead platform and the drilling of 21 new wells. (2013)
