Project Profile
Value: US$250 million
Location: Vietnam\'s Cuu Long Basin, Vietnam
Reserves: 818 million barrels of oil
Start-up Year: 2011
The project will see a development concept comprising of three shallow water platforms, connected by an interfield pipeline. The production will be via a leased FPSO. The Ca Ngu Vang field main facilities include a multi-phase flowline and water injection line, each around 17km to 21km long and 10-in to 12-in in diameter, a minimal facility wellhead platform weighing around 1,200 tonnes including a 600-tonne deck and equal weight four-legged jacket. The Ca Ngu Vang field has mean recoverable reserves of 155m bbl and Block 9-2 has exploration potential of 250m bbl. However, an independent reservoir evaluation updated the TGT Stock Tank Oil Initially In Place (STOIIP) demonstrates a most likely volume of 818 million barrels of oil (mmbo) for the currently drilled fault blocks. Including the H5N and H5S fault blocks, planned to be drilled in Q1 2015, the most likely STOIIP would be 949 mmbo.
Te Giac Trang includes two wellhead platforms and pipelines. The first WHP will have a 1100-tonne jacket and a 410-tonne drilling deck. Two modules weighing about 1400 tonnes and 500 tonnes respectively will also be installed on the platform. The second WHP has a 1100-tonne jacket and a 410-tonne drilling deck. There will be six pipelines running from the first WHP to PLEM, as well as three pipelines connecting the two WHPs. The six pipelines comprise five lines each 1.8 km long with a 10-in diameter, and one 8-in, 1.8km line. The other three pipelines comprise one 6-in 8 km line, one 8-in 8 km line and one pipe-in-pipe line, which consists of a 20-in outer pipe and a 16-in carrier pipe. The converted FPSO is expected to be capable of processing 45,000 bpd and storing up to one million barrels of oil.
