Project Profile
Value: US$150 million
Location: Offshore Gabon, Dussafu Marin Production Sharing Contract
Area: 210,000 acres (850 sq. km)
Peak production: 15,000 bpd (expected)
Water depth: 305 m
Start-up year: 2018
The block lies in water depths of around 305m and has been explored since the 1970s. The reservoir target is the pre-salt Gamba sandstone, which is productive in many fields in the area, both in Gabon and the Congo. It consists of a regionally extensive blanket of fine to medium-grained sand, generally with excellent reservoir qualities. Additional potential exists in the older, syn-rift formations, particularly following the development of the giant M\'Boundi field with its Vandji formation reservoir, just to the south in Congo.
Harvest drilled the Dussafu Tortue Marin-1 (DTM-1) exploration well, finding 12.8 metres of pay in the Gamba formation and 37.5 metres in the Dentale formation. (2012)
The first phase of the project plan involves the production of 21 million barrels of P90 reserves, with peak output of 15,000 bpd. The field development plan proposal consists of primary target development in the Ruche and Tortue formations, with wells tied back to an FPSO. Harvest issued a tender for the FPSO in November 2016.
The third exploration phase on the Dussafu PSC expired in May 2016, but the discovered fields are held under a separate exclusive exploitation authorisation (EEA).
