onGC will produce from KG-DWN-98/2 with 15 producer and 12 water injection wells, and foresees peak production at a rate of 77,305 bpd of oil and 3.81 million cubic metres per day of associated gas. It sees peak water injection at a rate of 9,400 cubic metres per day.
Operators:
onGC (operator, 100%)
Contractors:
Fugro - geotechnical site investigation (US$26 million)
The contractual work will be performed using a deepwater geotechnical vessel named Fugro Voyager. Work was due to begin in 3Q2016. Data collection will be followed by in-depth laboratory testing, data analysis, interpretation and integration with previously gathered autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) geophysical and metocean survey data.
Asset make-up:
A) Northern Discovery Area (NDA): NDA is divided into two primary production areas:
Cluster 1: Predominantly gas located in the north of NDA includes fields;
Gas fields D, E and
Gas field G4 (Nominated Godavari PML Block adjacent to KG-DWN-90/2 block)
Cluster 2: Mix of oil and gas located in the south of NDA which includes the following fields;
Oil fields (Cluster 2A) – A2, P1, M3, M1 and G-2-2.
Gas fields (Cluster 2B) – R1, U3, U1, and A1.
B) Southern Discovery Area (SDA):
Cluster 3: SDA has Ultra Deep (UD) reservoirs
Oil from Cluster 2A will be produced through an FPSO.
