The Assam Renewal Project (ARP) is located in Assam, India and involves a major reinvestment plan to revamp production facilities in Assam, to drill many high-tech wells to step up production from the aging oil fields from the current level of 1.4 mtpa (10.3m bbl) to 2.5 mtpa (18.3m bbl) in the next three to four years. The fields to be revamped include the Lakwa and Lakhmani fields, the Geleki field and the Rudrasagar and Jorhat fields.
The Assam Renewal Project (ARP) is expected to help improve production and in power generation. This project involves upgrading and setting up modern facilities. These include five group gathering stations, two effluent treatment plants and two water injection plants, gas compressor, captive power plant, a central tank farm and 467 km associated pipeline network.
