Project Profile
Value: $500 Million
Startup Year: 2017
The CYPR-D6-SA1 exploration well drilled in exploration block CY-PR-DWN-2001/3, located in the Cauvery-Palar Basin, encountered gas and condensate. The well was drilled to a TD of 3,815 metres in water depths of 1,194 metres. The well encountered hydrocarbon bearing clastic reservoirs in Late Cretaceous section. Upon testing the well flowed 37 million cubic feet of gas per day and 1,100 barrels condensate per day through a 56/64 inch choke from the main zone that has a gross thickness of approximately 70 metres. The discovery, known as Dhirubhai-53, has potential reserves of up to 100 million barrels of condensate and 3 trillion cubic of gas.
