Project Profile

Location: Offshore Kalimantan, Indonesia
Value: US$300 million

Start-up Year: August 2016
The Bangka gas field is located offshore Kalimantan. It is the first stage of the Indonesia Deepwater Development (IDD) Project. The field produces via a subsea well that is tied back to the West Seno floating production unit in the Makassar Strait PSC. Gas from Bangka is exported via the FPU to Santan terminal. Initial development plans call for modification to the FPU topsides, hull and its spread mooring system. An additional 1,000 tonnes of equipment will be added to the topsides.
Chevron has brought its Bangka field development project online. (September, 2016)
Chevron’s Indonesia Deepwater Development (IDD) project offshore East Kalimantan includes three PSC blocks: Ganal, Rapak and Makassar Strait, and the development of five gas fields, namely Bangka, Gehem, Gendalo, Maha and Gandang.
