Project Profile
Value: US$500 million
Location: Ketapang Block, 110km offshore East Java, Indonesia
Length: 110km subsea pipeline
Upstream Oil Reserves: 80 million bbl
Upstream Gas Reserves: 100 billion ft³
Production: 20,000 bopd of oil and 50 mmscfd of gas (peak)
FPSO: storage capacity of 600,000 bbl and crude processing capacity of 20,000 bpd to 30,000 bpd
Start-up Year: Q2 2013
The fixed facilities cover one wellhead platform, three flowlines, and a 12-in to 14-in 110km export pipeline to transport the gas to the onshore receiving facility. Production will be carried out by an FPSO that will have a storage capacity of 600,000 bbl, a crude processing capacity of 20,000 bpd to 30,000 bpd and liquid handling capability. The vessel shall also be equipped with facilities for gas compression, dehydration and gas lift injection. The reserves are estimated at 50-80 million bbl of oil and 100 billion cubic feet of gas. Bukit Tua will become the hub for the subsea tie-back of nearby discoveries, including Jengolo 19 kilometres to the west and Payang. Identified prospects in the Ketapang block include Garit, Tambak and Bubu.
This upstream project is an integrated development as it also involves the development of other supporting facilities such as Ratu Nusantara Floating Production, Storage and Offloading facility (FPSO) and a 4.7ha onshore receiving facility (ORF). Located in the Ketapang Block approximately 110km offshore East Java, the Bukit Tua field is expected to produce 3,700 barrels of oil per day (bopd) and 2 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (mmscfd) in its initial production stage. Upon ramping up the field, the production will increase gradually before reaching its peak production capacity of 20,000 bopd of oil and 50 mmscfd of gas.
