Jieyang LNG Terminal is located in Jieyang, Guangdong province, China. The terminal was built in two phases. The construction of the terminal started at the end of 2010 and the first phase was commissiioned in 2013. The terminal had a receiving capapcity of 2.0 million tonnes of LNG per year when the first phase construction finished. The company expanded the terminal capacity to 4m tonnes/year via a second phase project, and built two more 160,000cbm storage tanks. The total investment in the whole project was US$2.4 billion. The investment included a berth to anchor LNG vessels of between 80,000 and 267,000 cubic metres, a gas pipeline of 170 kilometres and five 160,000 cubic metre (cbm) storage tanks. The terminal is targeted at the consumer markets in the cities nearby, including Shantou, Shanwei, Chaozhou and Jieyang. The terminal also supply natural gas to gas-fuelled power plants in the region.
