The total production of the fields is expected to be 36,000 barrels of oil per day by 2011 and six million standard cubic metre of gas by pre-monsoon 2012. Of the two fields, B-193 cluster comprises of eight marginal fields (B-193, B-172, B-178, B-179, B-180, B-28A, B-23A and B-28) requiring constriction of five platforms along with one gas process platform. B-22 cluster comprises of B-22, BS-12, BS-13 and B-149 marginal fields and will require development of three production platforms.

B-22 and B193 clusters had obtained board approval for development in January 2007. Accordingly, bids were issued for development of both the clusters separately latest by 2011. ONGC has terminated the bids due to a legal dispute between Larsen & Toubro Limited and Ramunia Fabricators over awarding of bids.
