GH_WB_01 lies in water depth of 0 to 100 meters on the shelf area offshore Ghana. It is close to the producing Jubilee field and the Atuabo and Eni gas plants. Gas pipelines by ENI and from the Jubilee Field pass through this acreage. While the area is only partially covered by 2D and 3D seismic, there is one well, WCTP-1X which encountered oil shows in this block.  Block GH_WB_01 is reserved for the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) in accordance with Section 7(9) of Act 919.

Block 1 has been reserved for the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).
