Production licence 916 was awarded in 2018. Noway's Petroleum Safety Authority has given Aker BP consent to drill exploration well 25/11-29 S in PL 916 in the North Sea on 08 May 2019. The well will investegate a prospect that Aker BP has named 'JK'. The well’s location is in the North Sea, north of the Johan Sverdrup field and south of Grane. The geographical coordinates are: 59° 02' 48.441" N  02° 26' 21.804" E. Water depth at the site is 122 metres. 

Aker BP has estimated that the drilling operations will last 16 days. Well 25/11-29 S will be drilled by Deepsea Stavanger, a semi-submersible mobile drilling facility of the GVA 7500 type, built by Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Co Ltd in South Korea. The facility is owned and operated by Odfjell Drilling and received Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) from the PSA in 2017.
