Background

On February 12, 2019,Neptune Energy has been awarded an operated oil exploration license in the North West El Amal offshore concession in Egypt by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation.

The Northwest El Amal Block lies covers approximately 365sq km and is located in the central part of Gulf of Suez. The block lies approximately 42 kilometers south from Ras Gharib and 105 kilometers north to Hurghada.

Brief  Introduction

In the first phase, the program will include acquiring 100sq km of 3D seismic and drilling one exploration well. The second phase will see two wells drilled.
