The Assa North-Ohaji South (ANOH) gas development is one of the seven critical gas development projects (7CGDP) set out by NNPC. The project is shared between Seplat Petroleum and Royal Dutch Shell and has been described as "one of the largest greenfield gas and condensate developments onshore the Niger Delta to date". Gas from this project would go to the domestic market, with Seplat raising the possibility that oil may also be developed from the Ohaji South field. An environmental impact assessment from 2015 put capacity at ANOH of 14.2 mcm per day, with 40,000 bpd of condensate. 

OML 53 (Operator; Seplat Petroleum)

The Ohaji South is a large undeveloped gas and condensate field, located on OML 53 in the northeastern Niger Delta, about 60 km north of Port Harcourt. At present, the Jisike field is the only producing field on the lease.

OML 21 (Operator; Royal Dutch Shell)

The Assa North field is located on OML 21, which is 40 km northwest of Port Harcourt and adjacent to OML 53. It is one of a total of six gas discoveries on the lease, namely Ahia, Assa, Assa North, Nkisa, Amapu and Awara. 

FID on the ANOH gas project had been expected in the second half of 2018, with delivery in the next 18 months. Seplat, with the government, will oversee the midstream aspect of the ANOH work, while Shell will handle the upstream side, including the drilling of nine development wells.
