Project Profile

Discovery: 1990
Production Start: 2002
Gas Production: 809 mmscfd
The Corridor Block PSC is located in South Sumatra and covers a contract area of 2095 sq.km. The PSC was awarded in 1983 and expires in 2023. The block consists of five oil fields and seven natural gas fields. The principal oil-producing fields are Puyuh and Supat, and the principal gas fields are Suban, Sumpal and Dayung. Natural gas is sold through long-term contracts to the domestic and Singapore markets. In 1990, the first significant gas discovery (Suban gas field) was made and since then, considerable gas reserves have been proven, particularly in the Suban field. The first phase of the Suban project came on stream in late 2002. In August 2004, the Corridor PSC Block contractors agreed to sell approximately 2.2 tcf of natural gas to the Indonesian national gas transmission and distribution company (PGN) into West Java over a period of approximately 17 years. The Suban Phase 2 gas expansion project was initiated to provide the gas processing facilities for these new sales. In late 2006, the installation of two new 200 mmcf/d capacity gas trains, additional wellhead pipelines and infrastructure was completed. The block produces 7,263 barrels of oil per day and gas of 809 million standard cubic per day (MMSCFD).
