The Ajil oil field is located in Salahuddin province in Iraq, north of Baghdad. The field is owned and operated by the North Oil Company (NOC). The militants torched the field in 2015. Ajil was producing 7,000 barrels per day and up to 100 million cubic feet of gas daily, after the completion of the first phase of repairs. Output is expected to increase to 17,000 b/d by the end of 2018. .
