The Mulach field, which has a depth of 3,976 metres, is estimated to hold as many as 100 MMBOE and is located some 17 km from Paraiso, a city in Tabasco state, Mexico. Pemex successfully drilled Mulach-1 located 8 kms from the Yaxche Field and 17 kms from Paraiso, Tabasco. This well has a water depth of 21 metres, reaching a total depth of 3,976 metres. The well discovered five oil reservoirs of light oil in sandstone, dating to the Upper Miocene.
