Location: eastern Llanos Basin, Colombia

On June 3, 2018, Parex Resources spud its first exploration well Andina-1 and encountered the primary Guadalupe Formation reservoir at 5,090 metres. The well was subsequently drilled to 5,334 metres to evaluate a deeper prospective target in the Une Formation. Logs pointed to the presence of a high-quality reservoir similar to Parex's earlier find at the nearby Capachos 2 well, which tested at a rate of 3,650 bpd.
Production testing in the Une Formation began on 7th September 2018, with 5,454 barrels of 42 API crude and 19.4 mcf (550,000 cubic metres) of natural gas so far recovered.
