The offshore Block F14 is located in southern Gabon and measures an approximate 2,500 square kilometres surface area in water depth ranging from 2,000 metres to 3,000 metres. Petronas signed a production-sharing contract (PSC) for F14 in 2014.
PC Gabon Upstream, a Petronas subsidiary, drilled the Boudji-1 exploration well, finding 90 metres of gross high-quality hydrocarbon-bearing sands in the pre-salt in March 2018. The well was drilled by Seadrill's West Capella. The well was spudded in October 2017 and reached total depth in January. Under the letter of award, Petronas has signed on for one firm and three optional wells.
