Location: Aphrodite field, Cyprus to the Nile Delta coast of Egypt

Cyprus and Egypt have reached an agreement on the construction of a direct undersea natural gas pipeline from Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone to a liquefied natural gas plant in Egypt. The proposed pipeline will carry gas from the Aphrodite field, located 180 km southeast of the island, to the Nile Delta coast of Egypt. The pipeline will cost between US$800 million and US$1 billion.
