The terminal contains two 441.9-metre main berths with four loading arms each. They were able of accepting Aframaz class tankers with a length of up to 274.5 metres with a deadweight of up to 150,000 tonnes. At full capacity, the port can load 14,000 tonnes of crude oil per hour.
The Kozmino terminal has undergone an expansion, raising its export capacity from 650,000 bpd to 730,000 bpd. It handled 637,000 bpd of oil exports in 2017, and is expected to handle a further 600,000 bpd in 2018.
