The Cherpayuskoye (Черпаюское) oilfield was identified in 1984 in the Zapolyarny district of the Nenets region. It contained 2.49 million tonnes (18.3 million barrels) of proven oil reserves at the end of March 2018. Production totalled 67,609 tonnes (5,506 bpd) in the first quarter of 2018. The field forms part of the Val Gamburtseva cluster, which also includes the Nyadeiyuskoye and Khasyreiskoye deposits.
Rosneft’s Severnaya Neft subsidiary manages the Cherpayuskoye field under a licence valid until 2182. Severnaya Neft was acquired by Rosneft in 2003. It operates 17 fields in the Timan-Pechora oil basin.
