The Contender prospect is located on Block 211/22a in the UK sector of the North Sea. The discovery was later renamed to 'Cormorant East field'. The FDP called for the field to be initially produced under primary depletion, with the potential to perform infill dirlling. Discovered in 2012, Cormorant East has produced oil from the Brent reservoir since January 2013 via wells drilled from the Cormorant North facility.
Cormorant East field has three development wells: two producers and one water injector.

Contractors:
Bilfinger Salamis: Five-year contract for TAQA for its oil and gas operations in the UK North Sea. Under the contract Bilfinger Salamis UK will provide a range of fabric maintenance support services on all of TAQA‘s UKCS assets, including: scaffolding, insulation, coatings, passive fire protection, specialist cleaning and rope access. The contract comes with two one-year extension
Harkand: Contract to perform pipeline inspections at its fields in the UK central and northern North Sea. The program, due to start in summer 2016, will include project management and engineering services. It is part of a frame agreement between the two organizations initiated in 2011.
