The Marjan complex on the east coast of Saudi Arabia has four offshore bases - Marjan, Lawhah, Maharah and Hamur.Marjan oilfield is the largest of the four. The oil field extends to the Iran sea area. The field extends into Iranian waters where it is known as Foroozan Oil Field.Although Iran also contains a lot of oil, most of its oil reserves are in Saudi Arabia.Marjan was first discovered in 1967, it contained an estimated 2.31 billion barrels of crude.
