Abouzar Oil Field

Background

The Aboozar oil field is located In Persian Gulf some 75 KM to the west of Kharg Island district.The boost will be fulfilled by the Iranian Offshore Oil Company, a subsidiary of state-owned National Iranian Oil Company, which is in charge of developing crude oil reservoirs in the Persian Gulf region.

Crude oil from Abouzar stands at 220,000 bpd, making it one of the most prolific offshore Iranian oilfields. The field's output is transferred via subsea pipelines to Kharg for export.

Abouzar Oilfield holds 4 billion barrels of in-place crude oil, but only 20% of the deposit are currently recoverable through 67 active wells out of the field's total 107 wells.

To boost the field's production, IOOC aims to start production from two newly-installed platforms of A20 and A21.Expects crude oil production from the Abouzar field in the Persian Gulf to increase by 12,000 b/d once two new platforms have become operational.

Brief  Introduction

This project includes two Aboozar A20 & A21 new wellhead platforms and infield pipe lines and subsea cables. The A20 platform is installed in a location with 6200m distance from existing Aboozar AC complex. The A21 platform is installed In a location with 2600m distance from existing Aboozar AA platform. The Aboozar field is located in a water depth of approximately 40 meters.

The existing facilities consist of:

3 production platform (AA/AB/AC )
 

10 multi well platforms (A9/A10/A11/A12/A14/A15/A16/A17/A18A/19)

3 flare structures with associated supporting platform

1 quarters platform (AQ)

3 unit platforms located on Flare Bridge supporting platform.

The two main components of the WORK are the followings:

New offshore platforms:Two unmanned wellhead platforms, equipped with the minimum production facilities, including top deck and jacket. Their names are A20 and A21. 

Subsea Pipelines and Cables: Supply and installation of subsea pipelines and cables in A20 and A21 to existing platforms.
 

Company behavior

The Aboozar Jackets are Fabricated by ROG in Dragon Offshore yard in Hamriyeh free zone of Sharjah-UAE, main client of project is IOOC, the consortium of DRG-JAHANPARS is the EPC contractor and OMEGA will act as T&I subcontractor.

DORSEA Engineering Innovation(Iran) is responsible for the project FEED and Detailed Design of Subsea Pipelines and Cables including procurement engineering and verification support.
