The Total E&P Libondo field is offshore from Congo in West Africa. Libondo is a satellite of the Yanga field, one of the many new developments in this region. It is set at water depth of 110m and consists of wellhead platforms tied back to production facilities. JDR was contracted by Saipem to supply a 13.4km Subsea Power Cable (SPC) to link the LB1 and KOF1 wellhead platforms in the Libondo field. The seabed topography of the Libondo area presented installation challenges.
