PSA has carried out an audit of integrity and barrier management of flexible risers and associated safety equipment at Visund. Two non-conformities were identified in connection with: Process fires and System for emergency shutdown. In addition, six improvement points were identified in connection with: Testing of overpressure safety system, Emergency preparedness manual, Reporting and follow-up of valves in the maintenance system, Composite deck gratings in evacuation routes. Statoil has been given a deadline of 8 December 2017 to report on how the non-conformities and improvement points will be addressed. Visund Sør is an oil and gas field consisting of the Pan and Pandora discoveries located 10 kilometres from both the Gullfaks C and Visund A-platforms. The field is developed by means of a subsea installation and is tied back to Gullfaks C for processing. The Visund Sør volumes have been estimated at around 67 million barrels of oil equivalents. Since 2015, it has been a challenge for Visund to maintain reservoir pressure within drilling limits and optimise oil recovery, while increasing gas exports. New discoveries on the eastern flank in recent years have added resources. The gas export facility was upgraded in 2016 to increase export volumes. The water depth to the Brent reservoir is 2,900m and the depth to the oil/water contact is 2,820m. The depth to gas/oil contact is 2,904m. The field has recoverable reserves of 35 million cubic metres of oil and 51 G cubic metres of gas. The oil column is 40m-100m and the gas column is 110m. It has a 180³-230m³ gas/oil ratio. The reservoir pressure is 425bar and the temperature is 115°C.
