Nuayyim oil & Gas Field Project

The Nuayyim oil and gas field project produces 100,000 bpd of Arabian Super Light crude oil and 90 million standard cubic feet per day (scfd) of associated gas, entered production in August 2009. Nuayyim field is estimated to have reserves of 250 million barrels. The field was brought into production in early 1997, but output was subsequently halted. The Nuayyim field shares production facilities with the adjacent Hawtah field. A team of Australia's Clough Group with Houston-based S&B Engineers & Constructors and local firms Al-Bilad and Zuhair Fayez Partnership Consultants (ZFP) has been awarded a concept study contract for the development of Nuayyim. Joannou & Paraskevaides (Saudi Arabia) Limited and Consortium of The Petroleum Projects & Technical Consultations Company and Arab Company are involved. The scope of work contians the construction of a new GOSP and revamp of the pipelines and pumping stations.The pipeline package calls for the installation of 16 inch diameter, 148 km long associated gas pipeline from the Nuayyim GOSP to the Ghazal remote header, new 18 inch diameter crude oil pipeline from the Nuayyim GOSP to pumping station 3 on the east-west main oil line; and a 12 inch water injection pipeline. The scope also entails the upgrade and modification of an existing 20 inch crude oil pipeline and the installation of receivers and launchers. The GOSP package covers construction of 100,000 bpd GOSP, gas gathering and compression complex, gas dehydration unit and water injection facilities.
