The Gina Krog field is located some 30 kilometres north-west of Sleipner, and 230 kilometres south-west of Stavanger. Statoil Petroleum AS is the operator, with an interest of 58.7 percent. The partners are Total E&P Norge AS (15%), KUFPEC Norway AS (15%), PGNiG Upstream Norway AS (8%) and Aker BP ASA (3.3%). Gina Krog has 20 well slots. The preliminary plan is to drill 11 production wells and three injection wells. The field has also been prepared for tie-in of new discoveries in the area.
