Aker Solutions was awarded a contract from Aker BP to deliver the subsea production system for the first phase of the Ærfugl development. The award was made on behalf of the Skarv Unit and is subject to government approval of the plan for development and operation (PDO) of Ærfugl. The subsea system will include wellheads, vertical subsea trees, a tie-in module and an umbilical riser base. The first phase of Ærfugl includes three production wells and is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2020.The contract includes an option for Ærfugl Phase 2.The work will begin immediately and will involve Aker Solutions facilities in Norway, Malaysia and the UK. Partners in Ærfugl (Skarv Unit) are operator Aker BP (23.835%), Statoil Petroleum (36.165%), DEA Norge (28.0825%) and PGNiG Upstream Norway (11.9175%). Partners in Snadd Outer (PL 212 E) are Aker BP ASA (operator, 30%), Statoil Petroleum (30%), DEA Norge (25%) and PGNiG Upstream Norway (15%). Phase 1: Three production wells with production start in Q4 2020.
Phase 2: Three additional production wells with production start in 2023.
