The development stages:Exploration drilling/2013-09,In production - under development/2016-12.The 10,200 square kilometers Recôncavo basin, in northeastern Brazil, consists of semi-mature fields which have for decades remained the most productive for petroleum in Brazil. The basin has both onshore and deepwater fields. Oil production in Brazil began at the Recôncavo basin in 1939. The Candeias field was the first commercial oil field in Brazil and began production in 1941. Since then, more than 6,000 wells have been drilled in the basin. The main fields of the well include Dom João (1947), Taquipe (1958), Buracica (1959), Araçás (1965), Miranga (1965), Riacho da Barra (1982), Faz Bálsamo (1983), Rio do Bu (1984), Faz, Alvorada (1984), São Domingos block, Massapê block, Cexis field, Jandaia field, Fazenda Panelas block, CX block, Fazenda Rio Branco, Fazenda Santo Estevao, Santana, Sauipe and Tico-Tico.
