The development stages:Discovery/2008-09.Operated by US-based company Anadarko Petroleum, Wahoo is an offshore field located at a depth of 1,417m in Brazil's pre-salt layer. The field is part of the Campos basin's BM-C-30 block and was discovered in 2008 with the drilling of the 1-APL-1-ESS well at a depth of 6,096m, which yielded high quality oil. Five wells have been drilled in the project -- the last one (Wahoo 5) on June 2013, when an oil column of 140m was found. Anadarko (30%) and its partners in the field – BP (25%), IBV Brasil (25%) and Maersk (20%) — are evaluating the field for future explorations.
