The development stages:Awaiting construction decision/2015-12.Block 17 is located in Pemex's North Region and is part of the Poza Rica-Altamira asset. The block covers 23 square kilometers and holds 500,000b of original oil in place and 400Mf3 of original gas in place. Accumulated production from the area amounts to 200,000b of oil and 300Mf3 of gas. The block's reservoirs are found in Jurassic carbonate rocks. The block was put out to tender as part of CNH's third phase of Round One. The block is part of 21 Type 1 blocks, which are expected to contain less than 100Mb remaining in their reservoirs.
