Alrar gas field is an Algerian field located in south east Algeria. The field was initially discovered in 1980s by Sonatrach and commenced production in 1984. The reserves of the field were initially estimated at 4.7 tcf of gas. In 2013, Sonatrach announced its plans to extend the life of the Alrar gas field.
