The development stages:In production - under development/2014-03.The Parque de Baleias (or Whales Park) development is a massive pre-salt project in the deepwaters offshore Brazil in the Campos Basin. Wholly owned and operated by Petrobras, Parque de Baleias includes the pre-salt oil fields of Baleia Azul, Jubarte and Pirambu producing to the Cidade de Anchieta FPSO, as well as the Baleia Franca and Cachalote fields producing to the Capixaba FPSO. Located in waters measuring 1,221 meters deep on the the Baleia Azul field, the SBM-chartered Cidade de Anchieta FPSO has a capacity to produce up to 100,000 barrels of oil and 3.5 million cubic meters of gas a day. First production from the Cidade de Anchieta FPSO began at 20,000 barrels of oil a day in November 2012 from the Baleias Azul field, but the full ramp-up of production will include a total of 10 wells (seven production and three water injection wells) from the three fields at a peak rate of 100,000 barrels of oil a day in 2013. Petrobras integrated the development of the Cachalote and Baleia Franca fields, using the SBM-chartered Capixaba FPSO, achieving first production in May 2010. The two-field development includes nine wells (three production wells and two water injection wells at Cachalote and three production wells and one water injection well at Baleia Franca). Peak production from this portion of the development is 100,000 barrels of oil a day and 1.35 million cubic meters of natural gas a day.
