The development stages:In production - under development/2005-01.Located in the Campos basin off Brazil's southeast coast, the Caratinga and Barracuda fields cover 230 square kilometers. Since 1998, the fields have yielded 20 production wells connected to the P-34 platform. In May 2010, Petrobras announced an oil discovery in two reservoirs at the Caratinga field. The first, a post-salt reservoir, is located at a depth of 3,950m in well 6-CRT-43-RJS and holds an estimated 105Mboe. The second, a post-salt reservoir, is located at a depth of 4,375m and holds an estimated 40Mboe. The discovery was made at the 6-BR-63A-RJS exploration well drilled by Diamond Offshore's Ocean Worker semisubmersible platform.
