The development stages:Licensing/2010-09,In production - under development/2014-07.Operated by Petrobras, the Florim offshore field is located in the pre-salt of the Santos basin, at a deep of 2,009m. Two wells have been drilled in the area: 1BRSA1116RJS and 3BRSA1215RJS. The first one in 2012, proving the presence of high-quality oil with an API index reading of 29 degrees in carbonate reservoirs located below the salt layer at a depth of more than 5,342m. The second well was drilled in December 2013, finding hydrocarbons at a water depth of 1,972m. The exploratory phase should end in September 2014. Florim is located within the transfer rights area, ceded to Petrobras by the federal government as part of the company's 2010 share offer and capitalization plan.
