The plant suuplies 80% of the country's fuel, the modernization will allow the refinery to meet 100% of the needs of the domestic market. Located in Santander department, Barrancabermeja is Colombia's main refinery with an installed processing capacity of 250,000b/d. The project has been suspended since January 2016.
