The development stages:Under Construction/2013-12.The investment is US$360mn.The project is part of Pemex's efforts to maximize the production capacity, quality, and competitiveness of its refineries; including that of the Cadereyta facility. The initiative aims to strengthen maintenance and personnel security protocols while simultaneously mitigating environmental impact. Objectives of the proposal include the rehabilitation and refurbishment of gas turbines, tanks, boilers, cooling towers, pipework, drains, electrical circuits and heaters. The project also attempts to overhaul the equipment and material procurement process, to commission studies on insfrastructural integrity, and to improve the plant's distillation, treatment, and conversion processes.
