The development stages:Under Construction/2015-02,In operation/2018-08.The investment is US$14mn.The project is part of Pemex's efforts to upgrade and develop complementary facilities for its refinery in Salina Cruz, a critical component of which is the addition of a high-speed power train. The train and other updates to machinery are expected to decrease maintenance costs, increase production, and improve quality – ultimately increasing efficiency and profitability. The project involves process improvements and an expansion of existing infrastructure.
