The development stages:Exploration drilling/2017-06.Located south of the Margarita field, the Boyuy Prospect is part of the hydrocarbon-rich Caipipendi block in southern Bolivia. If the exploration of the Boyuy Prospect area confirms the data obtained from the 2D and 3D seismic acquisitions, it could represent a significant natural gas reserve for the country. In October of 2016, the president of Bolivia and the president of Spanish energy and petrochemical company, Repsol, signed a contract extension that will increase the time span of the Caipipendi consortium's activities in the Caipipendi area until 2046. These activities include exploration and production in the Boyuy Prospect and other fields.
